Vision & Mission
The Vision
JCQ commits to the promotion of South African and African music globally.

JCQ will embark on an international crusade to spread the rich cultural heritage that is so prevalent in South Africa, to the rest of the world.

The JCQ vision is to become the premier Entertainment Company by showcasing, marketing and promoting SA music globally by producing quality events through innovation and thus contributing to music, and entertainment, education and development as a holistic industry.

People Power
JCQ Productions, the first name in Jazz and SA Music Entertainment, has been successful in marketing South African and International Music Events and Specialized Functions for over 10 years.
This dynamic company, of passionate and dedicated professionals, has a proven track record in Music Events, Conferencing, Programming, Event Management and Artist Management.

The name JCQ is taken from the first letters of the names of the founding members, viz. John Esterhuizen, Craig Parks and Quinton Raaff.

Sadly John passed away in 2003, but Craig and Quinton are still active in the day-to-day running of the ever-expanding operation.

Thus, the dream of a decade has now grown into one of the leading music production and event management companies in Cape Town.

JCQ Productions is currently at the forefront of promoting local music and entertainment. JCQ also manages its own stable of musicians.

Employment Equity
JCQ Productions, HDI status shareholders - Craig Parks and Quinton Raaff, own a Closed Corporation Company. The Company employs 5 Permanent Staff members. A number of temporary and casual employees and service providers are deployed on a contractual basis through events like Jazzathon and numerous other projects, JCQ also ensures permanent, temporary and casual employment for more than 300 musicians and general staff per annum.

Associates
The various employees, companies and service providers involved in the production of various events include Media and Marketing, Sound and Lighting, Transport, Catering, Stage Crew, Technical Crew, Production Crew, Sales and Merchandise.

The unique blend of creative and organizational talents of the primary members of JCQ has transformed the company from a concept into an internationally recognized production company.

The Promise
To promote and encourage local musicians and artists to express their talents

To provide an opportunity for exposure of emerging artists especially those from previously disadvantaged sectors of the community

To provide a platform for musicians to interact with international artists for the purposes of expanding markets abroad for South African music

To provide opportunities for local charities to use entertainment projects as a vehicle for fund raising

To promote musical culture, reconciliation, non-radicalism and a common nationhood

To pay tribute to those who used their musical talents to shape our cultural, intellectual, moral values and traditions in pursuit of Human Rights and Democracy

To contribute to the growth of tourism in South Africa
